  Main programs
 

I. Prevention, intervention and postvention of suicides and psychological crises among children, young people, families:

• Psychological aid telephone Vilnius Youth Line:

  • Anonymous psychological support by phone;
  • Selection of volunteers;
  • Training courses for volunteers;
  • Constant improvement of qualification of volunteers;
  • Collecting and presenting statistical information about calls;
  • Co-operating with Youth Lines in Kaunas and Klaipėda;
  • Toll free national number 8 800 28888;
  • Available from 4 p.m. till 7 a.m. daily, all day round on weekends.

• Intenet counselling program Letters to a Friend:

  • Psychological support by Internet;
  • Answering questions received through YPAC website www.jppc.lt/draugas;
  • Giving support and information about further help options.
  • Answering every letter in 3 days period.

• Psychologists on duty:

  • Helping young people, families overcome crisis and to deal with psychological and social problems;
  • Consultations free of charge, anonymous and confidential;
  • There is no registration in advance;
  • Available every working day from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Information program:

  • Providing necessary information to everyone who calls or visits YPAC;
  • Selection of volunteers;
  • Training seminars for volunteers;
  • Constant improvement of qualification of volunteers;
  • Collection and renewal of the information bank about the psychological and social aid organizations.

• Mobile Crisis Intervention Group.

• Psychological counselling:

  • Individual consultations of psychologists;
  • Group psychotherapy;
  • Psychological support for suicide survivors. 

II. Children and youth club "Little Mirror" for risk group children in local community (Rasų district in Vilnius):

  • Social work with children and their families;
  • Development of social skills;
  • Leisure time activities;
  • Consultations.

III. Educational seminars, lectures, in-group training of communication skills, leisure time activities for children and young people:

  • Organization of leisure time activities: clubs, studies, creative-initiative groups;
  • Cooperation (agreements of cooperation) with the Division of Education of Vilnius Municipality. 

IV. Publishing of educational materials covering issues important to young people.
